My inspiration
My work is rooted in the places where color, light, and water meet. The crystal‑clear aqua waters of Anna Maria Island—where I was married—continue to shape my palette, along with the endless blues of the ocean, cotton‑candy sunsets, and moody orange sunrises. I’m equally inspired by lush floral landscapes reminiscent of Positano and Santorini, whose vibrant beauty left a lasting impression on me.
Water is where I feel most at peace, and that sense of calm naturally flows into my paintings. I’m drawn to the vivid hues of bougainvillea, the delicate elegance of orchids, and the dramatic presence of stargazer lilies. Every place that has captured my heart shares one thing in common: an abundance of joyful, saturated color—and that same spirit lives within my work.
As a self‑taught abstract artist, I paint intuitively, allowing each piece to evolve through many layers. Beneath every finished painting are earlier versions that add texture, depth, and history. I love the way hidden colors rise to the surface, creating movement and complexity that can only exist in an original, layered painting. My process is one of discovery—guided by instinct rather than a predetermined plan. The most rewarding moment is when a painting quietly tells me it’s complete.
Through every collection, my hope is to create artwork that evokes serenity, celebrates the beauty of nature, and fills a space with the same sense of wonder I feel whenever I’m near the water or surrounded by a garden in bloom.
